Alumni Program
Aftercare is a significant part of a successful treatment program. Many individuals are involved with the program for one year after discharge from treatment and many continue their involvement because they find it so rewarding. Often, advocacy with monitors, courts, and employees is necessary during and after the treatment process, particularly in the case of the impaired professional. Alumni involvement
allows HCC to provide advocacy during the continuing care process. On those rare occasions when monitoring is not available via other systems, the Department of Professional Services has the ability to monitor Aftercare and professional
re-entry for professionals who otherwise would not have the advantage of such monitoring. These services augment the direct clinical care provided by experienced therapists to provide a well rounded treatment experience and administrative package which allow the monitor to effectively advocate at the Board level should that be necessary. Most often, participating in Alumni programs is a pleasant and rewarding way to continue the recovery process and participation further increases one's chances for long term recovery.
