The Womens' Program at HCC
The Womens' Program at HealthCare Connection ("HCC") concentrates on the woman as a whole, recognizing and being sensitive to the unique needs that each woman brings to their treatment experience. Our groups and lectures are gender specific and the women may choose to reside in our "New Hope Village" (pictured here) while attending day treatment at HCC. Where appropriate, the Seeking Safety or EMDR curriculums are used to assess clients for trauma history. Clients are also assessed for co-occurring disorders (bipolar, anxiety, depression, eg.) and multi-addictions including, but not limited to, eating disorders. HCC's staff attorneys assess and address any legal issues clients may bring with them to treatment.
HCC is a state-licensed, JCAHO accredited chemical dependency treatment provider. At HCC, we believe that chemical dependency is a treatable disease and that recovery is possible with appropriate intervention. Our vision is to provide state of the art chemical dependency treatment and to constantly improve the quality and continuity of care delivered to our clients and their families. In addition, we actively seek feedback from clients, their families, referral sources and our staff, on better ways to meet the clients' needs and to improve our quality of care.
We believe that chemical dependency is a disease with biological, psychological and social components, each of which must be addressed for effective treatment. We rely on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous as community based support, both in treatment and in the clients' continuing aftercare. Behavioral Modification and other psychotherapeutic techniques are incorporated into the treatment process and innovative techniques such as Neurobiofeedback, Psychodrama and medications are used as adjunct therapies.
